![]() Hurricane Katrina was the greatest natural disaster the U.S. has ever known. But, as with all disasters and tragedies, it was and is an ongoing opportunity for Church of God chaplains to go "beyond the gates" and minister both to those who had lost so much and those who were involved in the relief effort, both those in ministry and those such as police, fire fighteres, FEMA and military personnel. During the tragic aftermath, some members of the New Orleans Police Department committed suicide as they were overwhelmed by grief. We could not help but think, "Could this have been prevented with a chaplain on call?" We could not allow this to happen again. Here we will present videos taken both of the tragedy and the relief efforts.
