Chaplaincy

As our society becomes more complex, denominations are being asked to provide trained chaplain professionals to serve in institutions around the world. As an institutional chaplain, you are given the opportunity to work with men and women in the workplace in providing pastoral care, marriage, pre-marriage and divorce counseling, hospital visitations and other services. The institutional chaplain takes the Gospel to assembly line, the railroad work crew, college students and teachers and many other persons assigned to these institutions.

Purpose and Goals

To certify and endorse committed men and women for institutional chaplaincy in colleges, industry, racetracks, railroad systems and other institutions
To give these chaplains training and support so they understand how these institutional systems work in order for them to carry out an extensive ministry of pastoral care

Qualifications

Training as required by the hiring institution
Pastoral experience and ministry internship in an institution
Commitment to his/her denomination
