Purposes & Goals
- To work with chaplaincy coordinators in other countries in the development of their own chaplaincy programs for military, hospitals, prisons, institutions, counseling centers and other specialized ministries.
- To set up chaplaincy ministries through the denominational structure of their own country or territory and to support assigned chaplains so they may faithfully carry out their ministry in their own unique circumstances.
Qualifications
- Training as set up by the board and coordinator of chaplaincy work in a particular country or territory.
- Commitment to his/her denomination.
- Standards as required by chaplaincy programs in various countries.
The Church of God Chaplains Commission is an international commission, now with chaplaincy ministry in
31 different countries, representing 30 different professional disciplines. Each of these countries and/or territories have their own chaplaincy coordinator. These chaplaincy programs are part of
an expanding chaplaincy network managed by the International Chaplaincy Commission.
