Pastoral counseling has always been a vital ministry of the church. The scriptures underscore the importance of spiritual guidance in times of crisis, critical decisions and special events, such as, marriage and death, and when confrontation is needed to save a brother or sister from the error of sin. The counselor never forgets that Jesus Christ is the Therapist, Who supervises by His Holy Spirit, teaches by His Word and heals by His wounds.
